Loneliness is complicated

Loneliness

Loneliness has many faces: the face of a child sitting alone at lunch, the face of a foreign worker in a room of coworkers who are local, the faces of many on social media who appear to be celebrating or joyful, the faces of spouses who hunger for connection, the faces of children who hunger for parental attention, the faces of friends who long to unburden their hearts, the faces of those who invest in things other than friendships.

Loneliness creeps up, and then it overwhelms with its all-encompassing power. It is self-inflicted, yet it feels externally forced. Loneliness is strong in its grip.

Combating loneliness requires desire for connection. Wanting to connect with others is natural, but it can be difficult in today’s world of fractured social networks.

When loneliness comes from distancing between family members, the anecdote is holy time: time dedicated exclusively to face-to-face communications. Holy time can be declared for mealtimes, free time, or bedtimes. The rules are negotiable. Social media is forbidden.

When loneliness comes from friend deprivation, whether from time restraints or distance, the anecdotes are reorganization of time and intentional socializing. These changes take time and they require active participation. Making time for friendship is crucial. Pushing towards friendships is crucial too. We are all social beings, and friendships bring support and comfort.

When loneliness comes from circumstances—working in a foreign country or new location, caring for a family member who is ill or dependent, personal illness or incapacitation, or death of a beloved family member or close friend—the anecdotes are often harder to fulfill. Each case has its difficulties, but the need for social interaction is strong. There are local sources of support like religious institutions, social organizations, and support groups. For those who are far from their loved ones because of distance or responsibilities, there are messaging and multimedia communication services, letters and email, local support networks, and interaction with local people who provide services. The importance for building social connections remains high, and the forging of close or casual friendships is urgent.

Each person’s feelings of loneliness are unique, yet they blend into a universal rhythm of sadness that can affect societies in very significant ways.

Loneliness is a call to action that requires recognition and determination. It is remedied through laughs, time together, and emotional expressions. Loneliness is a call to be aware of relationships and needs. It is useful, and it is fixable.

Causes of antisemitism

Antisemitism has been around a long time and I want to know why. I’m asking Spirit for an explanation, and here it comes:

Antisemitism is connected to lack of order. The nature of people includes desire for order. All people crave structure and patterns, even people who think they don’t.

The nature of the Jewish religion is structure. It is a religion that builds on structure, and more structure. The people who live within its rules and regulations become intertwined with the rules, and they strengthen through its order-giving vitality. The rules bond and envelop so that the ancestors bind with the living generation, and traditions live in each current phase of Jewish existence. Judaism is a religion that structures itself into a way of excluding others who are less structured.

The demands of this rigorous religion baffle people of other religions whose living is less structured or has rules that question the Jewish nature of being. This bafflement can be shifted into disdain or hatred when desires for power or status are present.  The transformation from a neutral position (bafflement) to a negative position (disdain or hatred) is filled with moments of grievances that arise from real or invented offenses. The grievances are attributed to the Jewish religion, and they become synonymous with Judaism. The breadth of negative feelings towards Jewish people is influenced by local events and superstitions.

When power and status are desired by leaders, they rely on weakness of others to give them position. When power and status are desired by individual people, they sometimes turn to weakness of others or fear of others to propel their actions. This process of acquiring power and status can cause antisemitic indoctrination by those who see antisemitism as a tool to succeed.

Jewish people who strive for power and status will often use their natural connections to push their advancement. Their actions are natural for their perspective as intertwined brethren. Other people who see this Jewish connectivity do not understand it, and additional grievances can be developed.

Antisemitism exists in societies that are not connected to one another, and it is an amorphous growth. Pockets of hatred or dislike foment when societies are experiencing change and disruptions. The widening of the hatred and dislike occur when societies erupt in confusion and ineptitude.

Throughout history in societies where Jewish people have lived, the other peoples who have experienced confusion, disruptions and troubles from power seekers, want order and structure, and they turn to the Jewish people to foot their troubles. Sometimes their approach towards the Jews is positive and sometimes it is destructive.

Destructive viewing of Jewish people is a sign of dissatisfaction with ones’ own way of being. Satisfaction with oneself would lead to acceptance of Jewish people and of others who are different.

This answer is not complete (and it was a bit hard for me to work out), but it is worth pondering. It doesn’t address antisemitism in places of extreme assimilation, but perhaps it does indirectly. If anyone wants me to ask more about antisemitism, let me know your questions.

Unmistakably positive quirkiness

People are positively quirky!

Each person develops an individual way of fathoming the world and of relating to others. No two people are the same, even if they look alike or they like similar things. The quirkiness lies in the depths of the personality and in the soul. No two souls are the same, and the differences manifest in words and actions.

Quirkiness is the word to describe people. The funny faces, unconventional comments, artistic individuality, musical expressions, unusual habits, and movements when unobserved are typical quirky people actions.

Quirkiness celebrates the reality of people. People are naturally quirky and that’s a positive reality of people!

Deficit disorders

ADHD-ADD

The known deficit disorders are ADD and ADHD. They are prevalent in societies that are too structured. These invented disorders reflect their societies’ reliance on conformity and subservience.

When a diagnosis of ADD or ADHD is made, the authority person (doctor, therapist, or counselor) is reflecting society’s notion of proper behavior. The needs of the diagnosed person are unimportant. Even words of sympathy by these “authorities” are meaningless, because if they cared about the welfare of the diagnosed people, they would not deliver the harsh and harmful pronouncement of a deficit disorder.

ADD and ADHD are symptoms of a society that has turned away from nature. Expecting uniformity in attention capabilities shows misguidance about humans. The “experts” are leading towards behavior that is false and destructive.

Deficit disorders are deficits in societies, not in individual people. Invented afflictions are valueless. ADD and ADHD deserve to be abandoned.

ADD subtracts

ADD

Attention deficit disorder provides a cute acronym* that is easy to remember. ADD looks positive–unlike its actual intention, which is negative, victimizing, and debilitating. ADD subtracts. It adds nothing to anyone.

Lack of focus is a natural result of disinterest, mindless labor, nutritional deficits, or preoccupation with thoughts.

  • Disinterest has many sources. Its appearance is especially apparent in school.
  • Mindless labor occurs in abundance. It’s in school, work, and daily drudgery.
  • Nutritional deficits impact focus by challenging brain function, digestive integrity, and cellular development. Nutritional deficits have many sources: over-consumption of sugar or sugar substitutes, sensitivity to food substances, insufficient intake of nutrients, chemically altered foodstuff, and water insufficiency (amount or quality).
  • Preoccupation with thoughts assaults focus from many directions. Internally disruptive thoughts or externally caused mental processing equally strain focus.
    Externally caused distractions are multi-directional: criticism from loved ones or authority figures; disturbing world or local events; drama in the immediate area; emotional feelings about others—happy or sad; traumatic experiences at the mercy of unknown or known people; exposure to information that is disturbing through social media, entertainment, or people; loss; and many others.
    Internally disruptive thoughts are multi-faceted, ranging from criticism based on criticism from others or self-imposed to turmoil from natural aging.

Lack of focus is natural. It doesn’t require a label or medication.

Attention deficit disorder ADD  []  It’s a name with no substance, a name with no social purpose. ADD is negative, victimizing, and debilitating. It adds nothing to anyone. ADD subtracts.

ADHD and ADD belong in the obsolete archives

In the past, many “cures” were actually detrimental, and they were debunked and abandoned. The same should happen for the ADHD and ADD diagnoses and cures. The phenomenon of ADHD and ADD should be examined, debunked, and abandoned.

Attention deficit is not a disorder and it is not real.

People have always varied in their abilities to focus and absorb information. People haven’t changed, but social structures have, and people struggle to fit into the monotonous, straight-jacketed, and restrictive ways of learning, working and functioning in modern society.

The cures for today’s attention deficit issues are not medication or ADHD/ADD therapies. There are approaches to modern living that can be effective for differing types of attention capabilities:

  • Recognizing that society is the disorder, and not the individuals, is the first step to assisting people with fitting in.
  • Acknowledging that people are meant to move—energetically and frequently—provides incentive to structure days with many opportunities for movement.
  • Encouraging understanding of tasks, commands, and regulations can create atmospheres of learning and productivity that are nourishing to the different types of attention capabilities.
  • Engaging with nature and animals has profound effect on focus and absorption of information. Regular interaction with nature and animals is especially transformative for people who society would label with ADHD or ADD.
  • Sitting for long periods is inappropriate for all people. Scheduling regular breaks into work and study helps focus.
  • Digesting foods that cause allergic or negative reactions intensifies focus inability. Diets that are free of additives and sweeteners are helpful and supportive, improving focus through digestive normalcy.
  • Training to be societally acceptable differs from society to society. The societies that require limited behavior produce people who struggle to participate. Their struggles can be eased by the actions of understanding family members, caregivers, and peers.

ADHD and ADD are symptoms of society. The “healing” of individuals is misguided. The healing belongs to the societies.

Release these misguided diagnoses to the obsolete archives. Let future historians view this period of out-of-control ADHD/ADD diagnoses as another misstep along the way.

Down the rabbit hole of ADHD

Life is a strange journey for children who are diagnosed with ADHD. The doctors prescribe stimulants, stimulants and antidepressants, antidepressants and non-stimulants, non-stimulants and digestive medicines (to counteract side effects of the non-stimulants), non-stimulants and caffeinated products, non-stimulants and eye medications (to counteract side effects of the non-stimulants), or other confusing combination of b0dy-altering drugs.

The parents believe the doctors and force the medications on their unprotected children. The children then face life with altered reality and a sense of brokenness.

The journey down is unsettling and deceptive. Personality changes and thought development are stifled, attention is narrowed, and observation abilities are blurred towards unnatural interests. The tumbling down is influenced by chemical reactions that interject their power over natural state of being. Side effects add their vicious reality. The illusion of concentration is dark, darkening the soul of the recipient taking the drugs.

Don’t drug your children to satisfy the ADHD industry! The only ones who profit are the ones who create and push the drugs. The children DO NOT benefit.

People who push ADHD/ADD are…

Wrong

ADHD and ADD are invented afflictions. People function differently and have different ways of learning and expressing themselves. The categorization of many people into labeled attention dysfunction is wrong for these people and harmful for society.

Savvy

Business—the attention deficit business—is booming! There are ingested aids (medicines, vitamins, etc.), behavioral aids, and lifestyle products. The attention deficit industry is booming, and savvy business people are able to enter this expanding market and prosper.

Opportunists

There are therapists to diagnose and therapists to advise, therapists to teach the parents and therapists to teach the children, medicines to be dispensed, and “helpful” devices to be sold. ADHD and ADD diagnoses offer opportunities galore to prosper!

Clever

With so much opportunity to prosper in the ADHD/ADD markets, clever people continue to find ways to convince people to label, medicate, and underestimate themselves and their loved ones. Each new method signifies a large investment in clever manipulation.

Puppets

Some of the people who push ADHD and ADD “solutions” are puppets of the industries that create the solutions. The puppets’ roles are to convince people of their own and their loved ones need for help.

Lacking understanding

ADHD and ADD have developed into mainstream concepts, and the rush to medicate, devalue, and change people is done by many who lack understanding about the different learning styles of people.

Overwhelmed

Daily responsibilities overwhelm many people, and the work to assist those who are unable to fit into the standard environments of learning is additionally overwhelming. When “experts” tell these overwhelmed people to medicate, devalue, or change themselves and their loved ones, they often acquiesce from a lack of information or time.

Well-meaning

The ADHD and ADD industry inspires well-meaning people to invest their professional lives into “helping”. Their motivation is unfortunately misguided.

Hopeful

Some of the ADHD/ADD pushers are hopeful for significant financial rewards. Others are hopeful for a piece of the monetary action. The well-meaning pushers are hopeful that their contributions will help.

Afraid to trust their own instincts

The most personal of the pushers are the parents who are afraid to trust their instincts. They know their children are in need of specialized attention, but they are afraid to deviate from the opinions of “experts”.

The rush to push ADHD and ADD

The pushers of ADHD and ADD drive the industry that pronounces people as needing their help. The rush to give people ingested aids, behavioral aids, and lifestyle products in order to function is foolhardy and destructive.

Some of the ingested aids damage internal functioning of the body. Some of them even create emotional and mental imbalances that are then causes for other physical and emotional troubles. All of the aids lessen society’s view of the people who are treated as deficient.

Choosing a life partner

With so many marriages ending in divorce and so many others filled with frustration and anger, I decided to ask Spirit about marriage. (Also, my daughter recently married so I have marriage on my mind 🙂 ) Here is the answer I received:

People are meant to pair. The pairing is necessary for support in an uncertain world and for a viable environment for children. Children are more secure in a paired family.

Choosing the person who will be suitable for navigating an uncertain world requires knowing oneself. The partner should be someone who looks at life with similar hopes. Less important are skin color, religious affiliation, and sex appeal; however, devoutly religious people pair better with others who are similarly devout.

The choice of partner requires evaluation of one’s own hopes for the future and the hopes of potential partners. Physical appearance and compatible personalities narrow the choices. The partner who is chosen must make the same evaluations.

Marriage and committed devotion are equally valid in creating pairings. Marriage makes the pairings socially and legally recognized. Committed devotion is different, depending on societal expectations.

When hopes for the future are compatible, the couples can weather crises better. When hopes for the future have no common ground, crises—no matter the size—become obstacles to relationship investment. Each person must be invested in the relationship for it to flourish.

Throughout the togetherness, there will be misunderstandings, kindnesses, celebrations, sadness, expectations missed, expectations met, differences, and comfort. Those who focus on the negative aspects will be unhappy. Those who focus on the positive aspects will be secure.

Pairings that are not based on common hopes occur frequently because of societal pressures and misunderstanding about oneself. These pairings are less compatible, yet they deserve the same efforts to keep them flourishing. Common hopes can be developed over time.

No matter the reasons for pairing, each partner is active in the success or chaos that exists between the partners. Pairings that are forced are difficult to endure. Pairings that are untrue (such as homosexuals marrying heterosexuals or unions based on lies), are debilitating. Pairings are best when there is honesty in the relationships.

Elected and chosen officials

I have been following the Kavanaugh hearing as well as staying aware of the state of political discourse in the States. I’m a US citizen, but not a US resident, so what happens there doesn’t affect me on a daily basis.

Here is information from Spirit about leadership and the relationship of people to their leaders. I think this information is important to understand.

“(People) must not expect more from their leaders than they do from themselves. THEY MUST NOT EXPECT MORE FROM THEIR LEADERS THAN THEY DO FROM THEMSELVES. Leaders are simply a reflection of the society they lead, no better, no worse. However, leaders must strive to balance themselves, especially when they are tempted by the benefits that come from being leaders.”

Leaders are people who “…pursue public roles when they are motivated by internal desire and strength, communal support, admired role models, peer pressure, or acquisition of power.” from The Gift of Intuitive, Dedicated Comfort. Leaders take on leadership roles for many reasons, and each leader is an individual with individual motivation and individual goals. Leaders should not be lumped into a group nor should they be raised above or lowered below other people.

The people who choose to dedicate their lives to public service are placing themselves in positions of power and ridicule, privilege and expectation of purer behavior. Societal members must remember that these leaders must not be worshipped nor should they be expected to live more simply than others in their society. Each leader must be evaluated on his or her own merits and must live according to societal rules and mores. And each member of society should see himself or herself as a leader who can contribute and influence and bring forth balance in the world.

The elected officials are elected because of the rules the society has developed. Even corruption that is allowed to occur in official agencies is a reflection of the society. People who allow corruption to be part of their society are creating the society they abhor if they don’t work to stop it. Turning a blind eye to the societal troubles is equal to the work done by some elected officials to create them. All are responsible for the state of their society.

Essential tremor—spreading the word!

Essential tremor is medically untreatable. It is an affliction that requires lifestyle changes, not pills or electrodes or blockers. It is an affliction that requires analysis of diet, physical activity, and emotional expression. Essential tremor requires adaptation, awareness, and acceptance.

Essential tremor is a progressive affliction. Its progression can be slowed and its effects can be ignored. The progression slows in the presence of healthful lifestyle. Its effects can be ignored when they have been accepted.

Essential tremor requires compassion and patience. Loved ones who offer compassion and patience create an atmosphere of relaxation that influences tremor intensity. Coworkers who offer understanding and patience create an atmosphere of encouragement that relaxes and supports the essential tremor presentations. Friends and casual acquaintances contribute to the support when they are nonjudgmental and compassionate.

Essential tremor is overly despised. Despising it increases its presentations and progression. Accepting it slows the progression. Despising essential tremor is effort wasted. Despising essential tremor is misdirected energy. The more acceptance, the easier it is to live with. Acceptance opens the door to life lived fully.

Essential tremor has its own timing and seasons. Its appearance is influenced by internal struggles and intensities. Its first appearance is forced by genetics, deficiencies, or extended illness. Its continued appearances are the natural results of its nature.

Essential tremor belongs out in the open. Without shame, essential-tremor people can shake in front of others. It is an affliction that needs to be explained. It does not need to be hidden. It is simply a physical characteristic of some people.

Essential tremor—doing the rhythmic shake

Essential tremor has its own special rhythm. It differs from other tremoring afflictions in character and influence. Other tremoring afflictions reflect internal struggle that is multi-focused. Essential tremor is singly focused on nerves.

Essential tremor has its own special triggers. Each person’s triggers are different, but they all accelerate the rhythmic shake.

Essential tremor has its own special scale. The ascents are usually quicker than the descents and the speed is usually faster when the emotions are strained.

Essential tremor: the emotional millstone

Essential tremor inspires unhappiness. The unexplainable shaking is a burden to carry, and it brings disappointments and adjustments. Essential tremor requires an ability to see beyond its annoying developments in order to live a life that is full.

People who are afflicted with essential tremor often experience embarrassing moments and disturbing incidents. These difficulties can lead to emotional reactions that exacerbate the shaking. In addition to the essential-tremor-caused emotional negativity, normal negative feelings can exacerbate the shaking. In general, negative feelings are bad for the essential-tremor shaking and contribute to the spreading of the shaking to other parts of the body.

(So I ask Spirit: Does this mean that people like me who have essential tremor must be happy all the time?) People with essential tremor require relaxed being. They must build their lives to be satisfying and free of selected anger. They must lessen stress if they want to limit the shaking intensity. Their reactions can be negative or positive, with one choice bringing side effects of the tremor and the other bringing lessened stress on the nerves that cause shaking.

(When I drive, I sometimes feel aggression which aggravates my tremor. When I do the Reset breath while driving, I feel no aggression and my calmness relaxes the tremor. See the post “Essential tremor—breathing to lessen the effects” for details about the Reset breath.)

Essential tremor is not a welcomed affliction, but it is an affliction that can be put in its place when commitment is made to maintaining emotional equilibrium.

Essential tremor—how to stop the tremor spread

Essential tremor is progressively expansive. It spreads because of the contagious behavior of nerves. When some nerves curve and cause shaking, their behavior is communicated to nerve centers that then remember the new behavior. When conditions are conducive for expansion of the deviated nerve behavior, the body responds by allowing the remembered curving to appear elsewhere. The newly curved nerves add to the memory of the curved behavior, which then encourage more curving in other nerves in the body.

Essential tremor is spread when the conditions deteriorate so that the body doesn’t fight the slow, or quick, proliferation of shaking. To prevent deterioration, the body must protect itself. Here are general guidelines to prevent the spread of essential tremor shaking:

  • Stress can cause essential tremor to spread quickly. Each person has his or her stressors that can be handled. The best stress releases include physical movement, connection with nature, resolution of personal conflicts, and removal of stressing foods from the diet (sugar, sugar substitutes, certain preservatives, allergy foods, and caffeine).
  • Sleep can prevent the spread of essential tremor shaking when it is sufficient.
  • Massage that is directed to the legs, intestines and stomach, which is received while breathing deeply, can inhibit the curving of un-yet curved nerves throughout the body. Regular massage of the body is helpful for essential tremor (as well as for many other afflictions).
  • Other bodywork, such as shiatsu, thai massage, and massage for fatigue, are helpful for some spreading of essential tremor shaking. These types of bodywork do not help everyone with essential tremor.
  • Anger and sadness can intensify essential tremor shaking. Releasing anger can slow the spread. Sadness requires efforts towards understanding and less focus, so that the sadness doesn’t quicken the spread.

Essential tremor can lie dormant throughout a person’s life or quickly affect the nerves throughout the body. Some of its features are in our control.

Essential tremor—the unknown side

Essential tremor is disliked by those of us who experience its unexplained shakiness. It is disorienting, unbalancing, and embarrassing. It causes us to give up activities and it limits our control of our bodies. For us, essential tremor is a negative development.

This post that I’m writing now is being channeled from Spirit–as are all my Energy Guidance Complete blog posts. We’re going to learn about an unknown side of essential tremor, the side we are generally unable to see.

Essential tremor changes the experience of perception with each body part that shakes. When focus is not on shaking, perception is heightened for other senses. The dominant sense has heightened sensitivity and the other senses have opportunity for development. (Note that each person has one or two dominant senses: hearing, sight, taste, etc.).

When focus transcends the shaking, internal dialogue can be used for opening to self-acceptance (an ability that many who do not shake also do not have). The self-acceptance of a person with essential tremor is a heightened self-acceptance. It enables moving beyond the tremor onto exploration of other gifts and talents. No longer being able to do some things leads to ability to do other things. Abilities are fluid and accessible, and essential tremor is a conduit to newness, when the essential-tremored person is willing to look beyond.

Essential tremor—individual traits

I’m receiving more information about essential tremor that I think will be of interest to people who feel its shaky ways.

Essential tremor, unlike diseases that are transmitted through outside organisms, is a completely internal rearrangement of nerve behavior. Its causes are internal–genetic or nutrition related (see “Essential tremor—Stop the shaking!”). Its appearance is based on physical changes that cause the nerves to curl (to be discussed in a later post).

Each person who is encumbered by shaking that is essential tremor related, has a personal path to this affliction, which then causes individual presentation of it. Each person shakes differently. There are similarities in the shaking, but individual nuances. The individuality of essential tremor requires individual assessment and coping. There are no one-size-fits-all solutions for essential tremor.

The traits of essential tremor, in general, are shaking of the various body parts, and the shaking of each part differs in timing. Some parts shake quickly, some parts slowly and some erratically–but the timing differences differ from person to person.

To treat essential tremor requires openness to success and failure. What works for one will not work for someone else. Essential tremor-encumbered people are best served when they notice triggers and shaking characteristics. Avoiding the triggers is the preferred strategy.

Essential tremor—breathing to lessen the effects

One way to lessen the effects of essential tremor is to breathe a specific way that relaxes the nerves. For people who have recently begun to feel the effects of essential tremor, this breathing technique can significantly lessen the tremors. For people who have been shaking for years, this technique takes time to lessen the tremors, especially if the tremors are felt in various parts of the body.

My tremor (of thirty years) is mainly in my left hand (my dominant hand), but occasionally appears in my right hand. The breathing technique lessens the tremor, depending on how I’m using my left hand. If I’m holding a glass of water, the tremor will subside significantly, but if I’m holding a book, the tremor is less affected.

This blog post is a continuation from the post “Essential tremor—Stop the shaking!”.  In that post, the causes of essential tremor were listed and three useful natural aides were presented. Today, the breathing aide called “Reset breath” will be described in more detail.

Reset breath procedure

  1. Inhale deeply to the abdomen.
  2. Exhale fully.
  3. Hold your breath for as long as is comfortable.

The relaxation of the nerves takes place when you’re holding your breath. The breathing should be rhythmic and comfortable, and you shouldn’t be gasping for air after holding your breath. If you’re gasping for air, you’ve held the breath for too long.

The Reset breath can be done throughout the day, as often as you want. Your position is less important than the state of your thoughts (see “Reset breath invalidation” below). You can do the Reset breath lying down, sitting on a chair, walking, or standing.

Your state of mind can affect the intensity of the tremor and the effectiveness of the Reset breath. Feelings of anger or aggression can invalidate the lessening of tremors. (I find that if I’m starting to feel annoyed [aggression] or provoked [anger], I can do the Reset breath and the feelings subside and my tremor doesn’t intensify.)

The state of your tremor is affected by sugar consumption. When there is too much sugar coursing through your body, the Reset breath cannot overcome the work being done to dampen the effects of the sugar on your body. This situation also applies to over-consumption of sugar substitutes (like saccharin and aspartame), even though the work to dampen their effects on the body is different.

The use of anti-depressants to combat essential tremor invalidates the helpfulness of the Reset breath.

Things to do if you think you’re heading towards Alzheimer’s disease

No one wants to lose their capacity to remember and to process information, but Alzheimer’s disease is prevailing in its grasp of people’s abilities to think.

There are many signs of Alzheimer’s disease’s invasion, and once it invades, it has opportunities to expand its reach. Alzheimer’s disease can be slowed, but it cannot be stopped.

If you think you’re heading towards Alzheimer’s disease, here are things to do:

  1. Exercise more. Exercise creates movement in the body that blocks the advancement of Alzheimer’s disease.
  2. Avoid, as much as possible, stomach and ear medications. Some of them strengthen Alzheimer’s disease’s power.
  3. Partake in musical and artistic endeavors. They increase the body’s ability to pause the advancement of Alzheimer’s disease.
  4. Eat foods that are unfamiliar. Your activated taste buds can wake up extra defenses.
  5. Create memories by engaging in interesting activities. By using your memory’s network for storing new and interesting thoughts, the Alzheimer’s disease is divided.

Essential tremor—Stop the shaking!

I have been “suffering” with essential tremor for almost thirty years. I put the word “suffering” in quotes, because I mostly ignore it (except when I’m eating soup and the soup sloshes off the spoon—doesn’t happen every time). Essential tremor has been annoying, but has not inhibited my life like it does for people who rely on a steady hand for their work.

I’ve finally thought to ask Spirit about essential tremor. Here’s the interesting and helpful information I’ve received.

Causes of essential tremor

Essential tremor is caused by twisted nerves (not getting more technical than that).

  • It can be hereditary, which is the cause for me. My paternal grandmother had essential tremor and two of my siblings and several cousins have it.
  • It can be caused by aging that includes lack of nutrition to the nerves.
  • It can be caused by an overabundance of phosphorus in the diet for an extended period of time (the time period differs depending on people’s magnesium-potassium balance and hydration levels).

How to lessen the effects of essential tremor

  • Inhale deeply to the abdomen, exhale fully, and then hold your breath.

The breathing should be rhythmic and comfortable. The Reset breath can be done throughout the day.

Things that invalidate Reset breath’s influence on the nerves are feelings of anger or aggression, over-consumption of sugar or sugar-substitutes (like saccharin and aspartame), and antidepressants.

Avoid caffeinated beverages and foods

I LOVE coffee, but coffee doesn’t love me. My tremor is much worse when I drink coffee. For years I ignored the effects of coffee, because I like drinking it so much. I don’t want the tremor to move into my other hand or into my vocal cords, so I have finally given up coffee. I miss it, but I don’t miss the exaggerated tremor. I still eat chocolate, but much less than I used to.

Good posture

Maintaining good posture allows the nerves to relay information properly. To lessen the effects of essential tremor, good posture when sitting is especially important. Read the blog post “Posture–so much more important that people think!” for information about the importance of good posture.
