The person that I am truly meant to be

balance

Oh if life were so easy
I would be the person I was meant to be
I would take on challenges and handle them with ease
I would be open and funny and clever
I would look fabulous and sing on key
I would not be cranky or defensive
And I would not get upset over silly things.

But life isn’t easy
So I let myself off the hook
And often don’t try
And blame others
And wallow in misery
And even give up
Sometimes.

Perhaps there is a place where
I can find respite from my too-difficult me
Where my mind shuts up
And my gut finally stills
Where I let myself accept
And I let myself free
The person that I am truly meant to be.

Post 7-bracelet

Too many people let themselves sink too low. Rather than rejoice in their living, they choose their misery. Sometimes the cause is nutritional, sometimes the cause is hormonal, and sometimes the cause is just habit. When the reason is laziness or lack of appreciation, the way out is through communal service. When the reason is nutritional or hormonal, the way out is through intervention by a nutritionist, naturopath, doctor, or other healing specialist.

There are other causes as well for the spiral downwards, and often spiritual connection can aid the situation. Energy Guidance Complete is spiritual healing focused on balance and elevated living. Making changes in one’s focus can lead to changes in one’s self-centeredness. Finding guidance that is larger than oneself can loosen self-absorption.  Accepting that the difficulties are just difficulties that can be handled releases self-indulgence.

Making changes is not difficult when we truly want to change. Yes, we can make changes when we truly want to change. The first step is to want to bring change. The next step is to truly want to change. Then the search can begin for how to change so that we can live the life that fits who we are.

Connecting with nature

Post 95 nature-1

  • Is going to the mall satisfying for the soul? No, not even to people who love shopping (even if they think so).
  • Is playing game apps or watching viral videos satisfying for the soul? No, not even if the viral video is about a wonderful person.
  • Is sitting at a restaurant satisfying for the soul? It can be, if you are sitting with people who are enriching, but the atmosphere at any restaurant is not enriching for the soul.

Connecting with nature is satisfying for the soul. It just is, because we were designed to be part of nature. Along the way, we lost the importance of our place in nature and we need to get it back. In general, our lives have become very cut off from nature, especially for those who live in large cities or spend too much time in cars or public transportation. There are people who work at staying connected, but they are not the majority.

Post 95-nature 3

How to reconnect with nature

  • Plan regular hikes and actually go on the hikes. The hikes don’t have to be long, but they should be in green spaces.
  • Visit parks and nature areas.
  • Visit humane zoos and petting zoos. Contact with animals is an important part of connecting with nature.
  • Shop at farmers’ markets and find farms that have fruit picking. And go pick fruit!
  • Add more plants and potted flowers inside your home.
  • Visit places with water: beaches, lakes, rivers, and springs.
  • Visit botanical gardens.

Try being more connected to nature and see how entertaining it can be. And at the same time, your soul with be nourished and you will become more balanced.

How to fill an overextended heart

Post 111 Life is struggle

Sometimes we overextend our hearts by taking on the problems of too many people or by concerning ourselves with people whose lives aren’t connect to our own (like the lives of celebrities) or by harming our hearts with negative emotions such as despair, worry, and alienation.

The overextended heart might seem too full, but it is actually too empty! It is unable to feel personal feelings of love and sympathy, because it is focused elsewhere. The love and sympathy for family members and close friends misdirects and leaves “holes”.

These unfilled holes contribute to lack of patience, unfocused attention, and unfulfilled promises and expectation with the people who are really important. The holes produce a sense of emptiness, which some people “fill” through attachment to addictive substances or behaviors. The holes remain empty though, begging for filling through acts of love and caring towards family members and close friends.

If our hearts are overextended, how do we find the way to fill the holes and fulfill our hearts? Each overextended heart has been overextended in its own individual way, so general guidelines can only be partially applicable. An Energy Guidance Complete session can help you if you feel the overextension is too hard to tackle alone.

Here are general guidelines to fill an overextended heart:

  • If you follow the private life of one or more celebrities, vow to lessen their importance in your life and take tangible steps to remove their comings and goings from your daily life. Remind yourself that these relationships are not reciprocal: the celebrities are not interested in you.
  • If you feel despair, worry, and/or alienation too often, there are many things you can do, such as bringing a pet into your life, bringing more plants into your environment, spending time in nature, pushing yourself to meet with friends, talking to family members, exploring a spiritual connection.
  • If the holes in your heart have led you to cover them with immersion in addictive substances and/or behaviors, you most likely need assistance recognizing the emptiness side of your addiction. The overextension caused by addiction might be too hard to escape alone.
  • If the holes in your heart are ignored through workaholicism, volunteerism run amok, or desire to remain aloof from the needs of family members and friends, the future might bring you events in which you will need the help of others, but the others won’t be there for you. Invest now in friendships and close relationships to prevent heartache later. (Read the post “Investing for a rainy day, the good and bad news”.)
  • If the holes in your heart are fluff-filled by self-absorption, your connections will become diluted over time. The first step is to recognize that you are too focused on yourself and the next step is to practice empathy for a loved one who is very different from you. When you feel that you have built up your relationship to this person, choose another loved one and work at feeling happiness for this person’s life events. The more loved ones you connect to, the more holes will be filled, and the joy in your heart will be able to overflow.

An overextended heart is reversible when it is acknowledged and addressed. Each cause of heart overextension requires different work, and some causes are harder to overcome than others, but they all can be overcome.

Living with a heart filled with love for one’s close friends and family brings balance to the world!

Giving your heart away

mother and babyWhen we are born, our devotion naturally goes to our mother, and then to our father, if he is there, or to another caring person who fills our baby world. Our mother—if she has unaffected love for us: unaffected by compromised hormonal balance, addictive substances, or personal emotional struggles—shares her love in an intangible presentation of her heart, which we—the baby—receive and naturally wrap inside. As we grow, we in turn present our heart to her and to our other beloved caregivers, and this love creates the bond that binds the baby and mother/other.

This first intangible exchange of hearts teaches us the natural giving and receiving of love. As we grow and receive love from more distant people—other family members, relatives, and friends—we learn to share our love, and the intangible exchange of hearts continues. Each heart-exchange stirs different emotions and elicits different expressions of love.

For the mother of babies that are wanted, the gift of motherly love is natural and fills her with purpose. Her instinctive lunge towards her children opens her heart to expanded generosity. As she gives her heart to her children, she strengthens and fortifies her intangible heart.

For the mother affected by compromised hormonal balance, addictive substances, personal emotional struggles, abuse or shame, growth of her intangible heart is attacked or blocked. Her natural inclination is to love her children passionately, but the influence of the external and/or internal saboteurs overcome natural bonding. The children of this type of mother receive crippled love, love that is offered and retracted in bouts of personal confusion or love that is guilt-ridden and unstable. These children have less connection to heartfelt love. They can learn to give and take love, but may feel confusion or uncertainty in the process.

The act of giving your heart away is as natural as smiling and crying. It is part of our human design to build connections with people, and giving your heart away is part of the connection-building process. Giving your heart to a family member is natural, and rejection of it is difficult to receive. Giving your heart to a person similar to yourself is also natural, and rejection can be as hard to take as rejection from a family member.

The intangible heart radiates desire for connection, and it pushes towards opening to receive love from others and towards risk-taking to give love to others. When the heart has experienced reciprocal love, it survives experiences of miscalculation more easily than a heart that was raised on confused or uncertain love.

There is truth in the idea that the heart expands as it embraces more and more people with love. The intangible heart has no size limitations.

Love as much as you can, and your love can help bring balance to the world!

The color of your soul

Each person has individualized likes and dislikes, personality traits, reactions, and habits. These individualized self-definitions are influenced by genetics, family influence, societal influence, and the times in which the person lives. Beyond these influences is the influence of the soul.

When a person is born, he or she is the recipient of a soul and this soul brings color—soul-color! The color of the soul is the starting point for a person’s individual character and personality.

What Are the Personality Characteristics of the Soul?

According to Awaiting Light—Understanding the Development of the Soul, soul-color is a combination of four attributes: shade, hue, contrast, and coloration. Each of these attributes determines a part of a person’s personality, likes, dislikes, temperament, and family connections. When a baby receives the soul, all these attributes are given, and they are the person’s direction for life. As the baby grows, and depending on outside influences, the soul-color shines or is smudged.

What Is the Soul-Color Attribute Hue?

Hue is the attribute that sets attractions—attractions to certain activities, colors, shapes, knowledge, sounds, scents, textures, foods, etc.

“From the moment a person is born, distinct preferences are evident. A baby reacts to various stimuli in positive or negative ways, but adults are unaware that issues other than hunger, wetness, or discomfort are at play. As the baby ages and is able to communicate through movements and sounds, adults slowly grasp the interests and triggers that pull or repel the infant.” from the chapter “Soul-Color Attributes” in Awaiting Light.

>> Knowing which interests are innately fixed is a step towards knowing your soul-color attribute hue.

What Is the Soul-Color Attribute Contrast?

Contrast is the attribute that sets opposite-sided emotional reactions. Examples are joy-sorrow, warmth-indifference, and excitement-insensitivity. Contrast determines the passion that is felt as life is experienced and the conviction that is felt when opinions and thoughts are formulated. Some people feel their emotions in a large way, some feel their emotions in a reserved way, and some feel their emotions differently depending on circumstances. All of these ways are normal and are soul-endowed.

>> Recognizing depth of emotion innately felt is a step towards knowing your soul-color attribute contrast.

What Is the Soul-Color Attribute Shade?

Shade is the attribute that affects pace, temperature tolerance, circadian calibration (natural affinity for certain times in a day), and acceptance of boundaries. Pace determines the speed at which a person naturally lives, ranging from living without rush to living at an exuberant speed. Temperature tolerance is the coolness-warmth range that is determined by the location to which a person is born. Circadian calibration determines the time of day that is most comfortable to a person. Acceptance of boundaries refers to a person’s natural moral compass of knowing right and wrong.

>> Sensing your natural rhythm of movement, temperature, day or nighttime preference, and sense of right and wrong is a step towards knowing your soul-color attribute shade.

What Is the Soul-Color Attribute Coloration?

Coloration is the attribute that determines the soul-groupings for souls of similar colors. Coloration provides the possibility of group connections. It causes the feeling that you’ve known some people forever, when you’ve just met them.

>> Coloration is a group attribute. Being able to recognize group traits in your family and friends is a step towards knowing your soul-color attribute coloration.

Conclusion

Each soul is combination of soul-color attributes that are spiritually linked to one another. Each soul is unique, like a person’s fingerprints.

The more you can know and understand yourself, the more you can see your soul’s color and the more authentically you can live.

Balancing the balancing—the intertwined design of life

“The design of the body is just exact and nearly as beautiful as the most beautiful object. Being brilliantly designed and executed, the body accompanies its inhabitant throughout the body’s existence. Beautiful in motion, in repose, in its beginning and in its ending, ….”  from the chapter “Connection of the Four Components of Health” in Pond a Connected Existence.

“Being brilliantly designed and executed” is the description of the human body. This description refers not only to the physical component of the body, but also to the nonphysical components—the emotional, intellectual, and spiritual components. The body is a complex interconnected creation that demands balance of all the components to be truly itself. Balance is the key to life as designed.

What does it mean to live in balance?

Achieving balance is important to living well. Living well does not mean being prosperous or famous. Living well means living with purpose and with vitality, with awareness of the rhythms of the world, and with connections. Connections to other people, to the environment, to other creatures, to spiritual presence, and to oneself.

Knowing how to live within the constraints of the human body while enabling it to thrive permits the growth and development of a balanced being. Knowing how to give and take love, kindness, and support permits the widening of the emotions and the strengthening of the body. Knowing how to take interest in the world around and in its inhabitants permits the development of the intellect, the development of the emotions, and the versatility of the body. Knowing how to open to spiritual presence enables the relaxing of the spirit, which then relaxes the intellect, emotions, and body. Spirit—mind—emotions—body; all connected, all the time.

What is the first step towards balance?

The first step to bringing balance to the whole composition that is a person is to accept the intertwined design of life. It is important to understand that each decision, each movement, and each interaction affects the connected body in each of the components. By living as a connected human being—connected to oneself and to one’s interconnected composition and connected to all that is around (the environment, other people, the many creatures), a person can thrive and shine in a life well lived.

What is the second step towards balance?

The second step to bringing balance is to create realistic goals that achieve purposeful living. Here are three examples of steps to purposeful living:

  1. Creating warm and lasting relationships with family members and chosen friends balance all four components of health. This balancing goal can be achieved by scheduling time for visits with, calls to, and fun adventures with family and friends.
  2. Avoiding intentional damage to the environment balances the components of health. Thinking of ways to individually create less havoc in the world—less use of disposables, less reliance on animal products, etc.—balances the intellectual and emotional components of health. Following through and doing these things balances all four components of health.
  3. Avoiding intentional damage to our own selves balances the components of health. This step is not easy, but is necessary for balancing. Examining one’s lifestyle, choices, and activities balances the intellectual and emotional components of health. Following through and making changes balances all four components of health.

A simple way to bring balance

One way to balance yourself is to feel the weather. Rather than rush out of the rain, walk in it and feel the raindrops. Rather than avoid the cold weather, dress appropriately but let yourself shiver and notice your body’s shivering. During the hot months, let your body feel the heat and let it sweat.

Conclusion

By taking steps to connect with ourselves and with our situation (our surroundings, our society, and our ability to bring change), we can create meaningful and well-lived lives!

Where do thoughts come from?

We think thoughts throughout the day without giving thought to where they come from. Where do thoughts come from?

Our thoughts come from processes within our brain and within other organs that work together to store memories, invoke instinctive understanding, and imagine unknown. The processes have tangible and intangible elements, so that they are hard to grasp.

It would appear that tackling the tangible elements would be an easier starting point, but that is not the case. The connection of brain to thought processing is complex and fragmented.

Instinctive understanding resides within the skin and within the pancreas. This understanding is transmitted to the brain together with nerve impulses and  non-tangible energy flow. Memory processing involves the brain with the blood flow and the synapses. This processing is a full body effort, with “storage” spread differently, depending on physical attributes and body mass. Imagination and its ability to move beyond intellectual barriers is brain-centered, but it receives nudges and ideas from connection to the universe.

With all that in mind, where do our thoughts come from?

They come from the flowers and the trees, and the four-legged critters and the ones that fly. They come from examining our fingers and our toes and from hearing the words of others. They come from touching the ground and staring at the sky, and from considering the wonder within us and the magnificence around. Our thoughts come from living with curiosity, which comes from the spleen and the movement of bones. Thoughts seem to appear, but in reality they are formulated in the brain with input from those who came before and from the body parts mentioned earlier. Our thoughts are our own, but they move in a realm that is beyond our physicality and our mortality. Our thoughts bind us to the humans before us and the ones to come. Our thoughts make us human.

This information is presented with guidance from Spirit and input from some who lived before. It is open for scientific exploration for those who choose to understand the wonder!

The host of the show, Pat Rullo, asked about my journey to Energy Guidance Complete, and we discussed the effects it has had on my life. We focused on my work with individual people, on aging and the book Samba ‘til the End, addiction to screens, the sense of superiority and its effect on conflict, my food blog, and the importance of building connections.

Listen in and let me know what you think. I’m excited about sharing Energy Guidance Complete with a larger audience!

My path to Energy Guidance Complete starts

In the previous blog post “My path to Energy Guidance Complete”, I shared the section of the path at which I began to write the spiritual wisdom I was receiving. Today, I’m going to share the moments of fusion! The moments when acceptance occurred! The moments when Spiritual Presence called and I followed!

As I wrote in the previous post, there were hints of the connection earlier. Years before the connection occurred, there was a moment of realization that I was being called, but I was afraid and I rejected the connection. It was too big for me at the time.

By the time the second call came, I was less afraid and more open to the wisdom. The second call was less direct than the first. It came in stages and advanced with my initiative. It came after I was comfortable working with Libra Method, the treatment for balancing the vertebrae to relieve pain in the spine and muscles. It came after I was comfortable using techniques that tap into healing unconventional. It came after I was aware of healing that defies logic. And it came when I was unafraid.

The summer of 2012! The momentous summer when my fusion with Spiritual Presence began! As described in the book  Exploring Energy Guidance Complete, My Journey:

“In the summer of 2012, I attended the annual Libra Method seminar for Libra practitioners. The subject of using Applied Kinesiology on oneself was discussed, and when I left the seminar, I decided to try it on myself as a tool to lose weight. I happily discovered that self-testing worked for me and I quickly embraced the ability of knowing which foods to eat, portion sizes, and appropriate exercise.” (Self-testing is explained on the “About”  page.)

Not long after, my ailing father became worse and I was told that I should hurry to the U.S. to be with him. As I sat on the airplane, I felt the need for support so I used self-testing to ask for it. I received connection with my beloved deceased mother. This connection enabled me to relate to my father in a beyond-myself way and it enabled me to be supportive of my siblings and stepmother. When I returned to Israel, I was able to mourn in a way that uplifted myself, enriched my immediate family, and enlightened my community. I also connected to my deceased father as I was connected to my mother.

After experiencing self-testing for weight loss and spiritual support, I was emboldened to explore my capabilities. I asked the question “What else can I know?” and the universe opened and flooded me with information. The beginnings of information inundation were thrilling, awe-inspiring, and unfocused. I asked about unsolved crimes and current events. I grasped the cause of an inhospitable force in a public building in my community and eased it out. I learned about cures and solutions, sadness and unhappiness, illnesses and afflictions, personality traits and natural preferences. I invaded people’s private spaces and learned that doing so is forbidden without permission. I soared in the sky, while pretending to be a normal, feet-on-the-ground person. I expanded my Libra practice to include advice about precise exercises and healing. I continued to lose weight in a healthful way and heal myself… I talked about these new developments with a few close friends and family. And, I started to write.” (The writing is described in the previous blog post.)

The start of our connection was so natural—it’s hard for me to explain to others just how comfortable the connection feels. It’s like being with your mentor and closest confidante all the time. It’s like having all the answers and wanting to raise your hand every time a question is asked. But it’s also hard to explain to others, and harder yet when they dismiss or covet my closeness to Spiritual Presence.

The connection grows, and it is not meant for me to keep to myself. The connection is a gift to us all—not just for me—and my role is not to be envied. I have become the voice of Spiritual Presence in this time and the words are from beyond.

Each book that I write and each blog post that I share contains the words of divinity. When you read them, forget that I appear as the author and remember the connection of human with Spirit.

My Path to Energy Guidance Complete

My path to Energy Guidance Complete started way before the connection materialized. Hints of the connection didn’t reveal to me the depth of the connection to come.

Sensing my future started in my teens, but my focus was too scattered by teenage concerns. Building the years in-between the first inkling of connection and the actual connection was based on family and societal expectations, and not on my own needs and true calling.

The summer of 2012! I was ready for the connection without realizing what the connection would bring. I was using the connection to achieve personal balance when the push came to increase the connection.

At the time, I was following my desire to forego the lifestyle that was not true to me and was focusing my energy on work that brought physical healing to others. (The work is described in the blog post “Body Care” and is called Libra Method, which is a treatment for balancing the vertebrae to relieve pain in the spine and muscles.)

The push and subsequent awareness are described in the book Exploring Energy Guidance Complete, My Journey:

“The writing began one day when I suffered from knee pain and turned to Libra Method for help. I used self-testing to determine that I could heal the pain using a body meridian, which is a technique from Applied Kinesiology that uses Chinese medicine. Self-testing revealed that using the pathway of a meridian could help me, but none of the usual meridians could help. Perplexed, I asked the question ‘Is there a meridian that I don’t know?’ and received an affirmative response. I asked ‘Is there someone who can teach me about this meridian?’ and learned that nobody in Israel, nor anywhere else, could teach me. Hesitatingly, I asked the question ‘Am I going to learn about a meridian that no one else knows?’ and the answer was affirmative. I read about meridian attributes and used self-testing to write, word by word, about this new meridian.” (Self-testing is explained on the “About”  page and the meridian is described in the blog post “The Spiritual Connection Meridian”.) …

“While writing about the meridian, I began to receive information about another healing technique. I wrote about the second healing technique, and again, while writing about it, I began to receive information about a third healing technique. After this pattern occurred several more times, I started using the techniques in my Libra practice. The results were good, and I publicized my work at a networking group.  I continued to write the information I received and it became a seventeen-technique system called “The Body Wholeness System” for healing the body and spirit.

Towards the end of writing The Body Wholeness System handbook, I began to receive information about another set of healing techniques. Soon after completing the first handbook, I started on the second. These healing techniques connect—connect a person to body, emotions, environment, and to other people. They also connect to spirit. These techniques are part of Energy Guidance Complete, and they have physical, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual impact.

Work with Libra Method became less focused on just physical healing of pain and more on emotional factors and other influences. With Libra Method I could heal back, neck, and joint pain, but mostly if the cause of the pain was physical. For pain that had other factors, I brought in Energy Guidance Complete. Spiritual nudging led me to collect various knickknacks and items in my clinic, and I used them more and more in my work to help with wider health issues. People I helped began to tell others, and I gained confidence to talk about Energy Guidance Complete.

Awareness of a new direction nudged me, and I began to write additional information I received. This information started as separate essays. After writing several essays, I understood that something larger was being written. These wisdom essays became the first volume in the “Existence-Me Elevated Living” book series. I understood that I would be writing a series of seven books.

The first one was especially exciting to write, for I was amazed at each word that materialized from my questioning. I learned to ask questions in a focused manner, and the words began to flow onto the computer. The Gift of Intuitive, Dedicated Comfort was captivating for me—captivating to write and captivating to read. Writing each book has been an amazing, humbling, and enriching experience.”…

“Once I knew that I would be writing book after book, I understood that my purpose is to spread guidance and information. The healing sessions are important, but the main work is to reach many more people through the writing. I have access to Spiritual Presence and I am to enable people to have a glimpse into spiritual wisdom.”

Superiority: negative sense of self

The last group of blog posts has focused on the negative aspects of the sense of superiority. Personally I have found these posts to be challenging, because I have had to confront my own prejudices and ingrained sense of superiority.

My actions have been influenced by my society’s treatment of me, but I had chosen to accept preferential treatment without questioning the justice of it. Preferential treatment has been habit-forming and I now have to choose to break the habit. Not so easy!

With superiority comes a sense of deservedness, and with the sense of deservedness comes the sense of expectation that others will serve, and with the sense of expectation that others will serve comes the expectation that authority will be recognized, and with the expectation that authority will be recognized comes the insecurity that undeservedness underpins authority, and this sense of insecurity pushes the drive for feeling superior. The core of superior sense of self is inferiority, a negative sense of self.

Looking over the possible reasons for feeling “superior”: nationality, financial security, gender, race, religion, social status, physical attributes, intellectual gifts, athletic prowess, and celebrity—the sense of superiority can feel inevitable. In actuality, it is a choice that can be rejected or embraced.

The sense of superiority is a negative sense of self that requires eradication. Letting go of the sense of superiority should be a societal priority that each person can pursue individually and as members of a just and caring society.

The various causes of superior sense of self are presented in these blog posts:

Guidance along the Journey

Journey sign

“The journey through life is a series of starts and stops, U-turns and wrong turns, ups and downs, unobstructed paths and no entry areas, straight and obvious routes and winding and precarious backstreets, unpredictable events and constant rhythms. The journey through life is perceived as difficult, or difficult and interesting, or difficult and unfair, or difficult and deserved, or difficult and surmountable, or difficult and this-or-that. The journey through life is varied in length; a short life is mourned and a long life is accepted. The journey through life is similar for all in that it starts with a breath and ends with a gasp (except in cases of sudden unnatural death).”
…from Oneself—Living

We all enter life with stumbling blocks in front of us. Some stumbling blocks are more difficult to pass and some stop us completely. The journey is meant to be trial-and-tribulation full, not smooth-sailing-the-whole-way. The idea that life is supposed to be easy is a marketing ploy that cripples and weakens us. Life is not a laundry detergent commercial with all the stains coming out, clean as new. Life is complex! Yes it is, and the more we prepare for complexity, the more we can exalt in the journey.

Here is guidance for the journey:

  • Learn to breathe properly and variedly. Knowing how to breathe through the changes in life will help you stay focused and well.
  • Develop your senses. Use your eyes to study the world. Use your nose to create memories. Use your ears to connect with animals and plants. Use your mouth to nourish your body. Use your hands to create. Use your bodily awareness to connect with other people.
  • Know yourself. Know the things that draw you to them and the things that repel. Know your temperament and accept it. Know your abilities and your drive. The more you know yourself, and live accordingly, the more you can live truthfully.

“Each step towards balanced living has repercussions for future satisfaction with one’s life. Deliberate work towards wellness, physical and mental, paves the way for life that is enriching. Deliberately choosing activities that better oneself, one’s community, and the surrounding environment rather than choosing activities that distract, paves the way for a life that is rewarding.”

“The main thing to remember is that each life has potential,…

…and each potential bring opportunity for elevation.”

Leaves--Journey

In The Gift for Intuitive, Dedicated Comfort, the journey of life is explored.

“The path one chooses is actually many paths; each path leading into a wider and longer path. The ability to try is the key to creating a valuable life. Valuable here means creatively challenged, joyful, balanced in terms of self vs. community, and accepting of the vagrancies of nature and life events. So many tributaries feed into the river that forms and sculpts our lives. Each chance meeting; each struggle to learn something new, to hone existing skills, to push beyond; each encounter with nature; each encounter with nature’s creatures; each exchange—verbal, physical, or with divine understanding; each decision, non-decision, decision result. All these parts combine, repel, stack, and group to shape, mold, and create the people that we are.”

“…each encounter with nature, each encounter with nature’s creatures…”  Many of us tend to trivialize the importance of our encounters with the environment and with other living creatures.  “The connection to flora and fauna significantly 1) broadens and heightens understanding of cycles and fluctuations; 2) develops appreciative and inquisitive capabilities; and 3) causes people to examine and work with vegetation that aid human life and animals that enhance human existence.” from Oneself-Living.

The photo above is my attempt at nature art. As the wind blew my collected leaves around, I thought about the need to relax expectations (I had collected 1000 leaves). The leaves were interesting to work with: varying colors, sizes, and shapes; easy to work with until the wind whipped them up; and versatile in their ability to form lines, corners, and curves.

The more we encounter nature, the more we understand ourselves.

Since September 2013, Energy Guidance has appeared in books and this blog. The advice has been honest and current. Answers to unclear questions have been offered and medical afflictions have been tackled. Focused living and paths to well-being have been provided regularly.

If you have liked one or more of the blog posts, please share them with friends. If you know of people who suffer from health afflictions deciphered by Energy Guidance, please share the information with them.

Good advice is meant to be passed along. Spiritual wisdom can elicit skepticism, but if people can look beyond the source of the wisdom they can see that the advice is truly wise.

Give others the opportunity to grow with Energy Guidance by sharing it with them!

And remember to…

“Count your blessings!”

Surfacing

soul connection

I have been underwater. Well, not literally. The last five weeks I have been in the US visiting family and friends, attending important family gatherings, and being not-Energy Guidance. I have submerged my connection to Spirit in order to fit in and be the person I used to be. That submersion of my true self has left me without words and without energy to share Spiritual wisdom. Now that I have returned home, I am slowly returning to the true person that is Renee Rothberg, voice of Energy Guidance.

A friend who reads my blog faithfully told me that she is waiting to hear my reactions to my time in the US. I reminded her that I write what Spirit directs me to write. I don’t write what I think, although I often, but not always, agree with Spirit. The words that appear in this blog are given to me; they are not my original thoughts. When you read the wisdom presented here, know that it is not from me but through me. Yes, through me.

Now that I am surfacing, I can sit quietly and receive. Here are the messages that Spirit wants me to share about my visit to my old life:

  • Environmental care should come before convenience. Think twice before using disposable plates, bowls, cups, etc.
  • Making time for family is nourishing and supportive. Even the folks that drive us crazy add to our well-being.
  • Airplanes are unnatural environments. Take care to be well-hydrated and well-nourished on flights. Be kind to the stewards and stewardesses and greet fellow travelers sincerely.
  • Trees are beautiful wherever we go. Taking time to notice them is as important as going to a tourist site.
  • Viewing people with a kind heart helps them be their true selves. Keep kindness before judgment.

Most of us know these wise pieces of advice, but we often forget to heed them. Knowing that they come from Beyond is helpful in remembering to follow them.

Experiencing Nature’s Outline

Gift of nature

“Living with compassion and with understanding lends color to life, adds substance and texture to being…‘Helping those who need help!’…Compassionately approaching, the preferred approach, relieves tension, balances health…‘Spending time with loved ones! Playing with babies! Teaching children in the customs and traditions of one’s forebears!’…pitching in, helping out, lifting up…‘Watching animals! Caring for pets! Preventing abuse of animals! ‘” – from “Oneself-Living” and “Pond a Connected Existence”

The outline of nature is the framework for connected living. The outline of nature has headings and symmetry and subdivisions. Rules and extensions bound the experience of living within the outline. Definitions and relationships fit within Nature’s outline, deviating when dramatic conferral occurs. The entirety of creatures with vegetation is a cyclical, rhythmic composition.

Connected living requires seeing the participation of all the parts. Living within the seasons and within the boundaries of the lightness and the darkness bring the body into alignment with melodious cycling of life and death. Recognizing that part of all is me brings overwhelming satisfaction and calm.

There are magical moments that occur when Nature’s outline is recognized and received!

Relating to Leaders, Post #1

Leadership 1

With debates and fundraising in the U.S. inspiring judgmental commentary on social media, leadership and responses to leaders are going to be the topics in a series of blog posts.

Let’s start with a quote from The Gift of Intuitive, Dedicated Comfort:

“In order to develop and maintain a healthy society, individual members must strive for balance. They must hold themselves accountable and must hold their society accountable. They must not expect more from their leaders than they do from themselves. THEY MUST NOT EXPECT MORE FROM THEIR LEADERS THAN THEY DO FROM THEMSELVES. Leaders are simply a reflection of the society they lead, no better, no worse. However, leaders must strive to balance themselves, especially when they are tempted by the benefits that come from being leaders.”

(color, underline, and bold added for emphasis)

Leaders live like other people, with difficulties and accomplishments, just like other people They are not superhuman and they are not above other people. They make mistakes and they change their minds, just like everyone else.

Leaders are people who “…pursue public roles when they are motivated by internal desire and strength, communal support, admired role models, peer pressure, or acquisition of power.”

Leaders take on leadership roles for many reasons, and each leader is an individual with individual motivation and individual goals. The people who choose to dedicate their lives to public service are placing themselves in positions of power and ridicule, privilege and expectation of purer behavior. Each leader must be evaluated on his or her own merits and must live according to societal rules and mores.

Judgmental attitudes towards leaders is harmful to the people who deliver the cruel and deriding commentary. Before judging leaders, a person must judge himself or herself to see if he or she holds to the standards expected of the leaders. If not, then judgement is the wrong stance. Better to approach leaders with openmindedness and self-worth. Better to approach with curiosity and self-confidence.  Individual members of society must not expect more from their leaders than they do from themselves.

The World Uprooted—Applause Confusion

Post 13-screen beans supportingIn a world where applause is for beauty and celebrity is for ball kicking, uprootedness is occurring.

Applause should be for those who care for the animals and for the vegetation and for the vulnerable. Applause with enthusiasm should be for the people who deliver babies or deliver sustenance from family farms or deliver animals from cruel existence or deliver protection of nature from fires and floods.

Applause for people who strut down runways is applause confused. Applause for people who run after dementia-afflicted people is applause correct.

Applause for professional ball kickers or ball throwers is applause undeserved. Applause for professional arborists working in difficult climates is applause deserved.

Celebrity worship and star fixation are turning the world upside down. The stars become unreal—and suffer because of that—and the fixated lose focus of true values.

Each person who gives more value to an undeserving individual because of sports prowess or body size is contributing to the upside-down existence. Each person can help right the world by focusing on those who bring betterment. Each person can help right the world by allotting time to endeavors that correct misguided infatuations.

Let the celebrities and the sports stars and the models move back, and let the real applause-deservers shine!

Celebrating achievements, even when seemingly minor

celebration(taken from my article of the same name on Healing.Answers.com  )

People tend to celebrate events that are milestones defined by society: birth, coming-of-age, marriage, specific birthdays and anniversaries, graduation, promotions, etc. These events are deserved of celebration, and are not the subject of this blog post.

Achievements such as finishing a small project, reaching a minor goal, learning a new skill, performing a feared task, relinquishing an old hurt, connecting in a spiritual way, changing a career, weeding the garden and not using poison to kill the weeds, resisting ease for quality, resisting the appeal of time wasters, and reviving a meaningful relationship should be noted and cele-vated (celebrate + elevate). Raised up to deserve celebration. Celebrated because we have elevated ourselves.

Let’s look at examples of achievements that should be celevated and possible celebrations.

Performing a feared task is an achievement that should be celevated

When we carry fears from real or imagined reasoning, the fears constrict us. When we decide to release a fear, our mind must release the thoughts that had been occupied with the fear. The celebration for performing a feared task?

  1. Acknowledge that the feared task was performed by either saying so out loud or by writing it.
  2. Hold your hands together and say “I did it!” or something similar. While you do that, smile and feel the achievement.
  3. Do one or more movements, like a little victory dance, which will release any bodily tension that arose from performing the task.
Reviving a meaningful relationship is an achievement that should be celevated

Often, time passes without us realizing that we didn’t make time for someone whom we once cherished. When we decide to revive a meaningful relationship, our minds must release any guilt that existed from feelings of non-trueness to this person. The celebration for reviving a meaningful relationship?

  1. After initial contact has been made (through writing or speaking), acknowledge that you are proud of yourself for taking the steps to renew this friendship and breathe deeply for a minute or two.
  2. After additional contact, hold your hands together and say “I did it!” or something similar. While you do that, smile and feel the achievement.
Resisting ease for quality is an achievement that should be celevated

There are many examples of resisting ease for quality. Making a pizza from scratch rather than buying a pizza from the pizza delivery service is one example. Eating a meal on dishes rather than using disposables is another example. Even though this achievement can be a daily or even hourly event, it should be elevated and celebrated!

  1. Reminding ourselves that our “sacrifices” bring rewards is the first step towards celevation.
  2. A general celebration could be patting ourselves on the back (literally) after the achievement has been completed. Specific celebrations for specific achievements can simply be finding ways to savor the moments spent in quality living.
In Energy Guidance Complete sessions

During Energy Guidance Complete sessions, I sometimes ask people to consider their large and small achievements. People tend to overlook their achievements, and they usually have trouble remembering more than ten. In actuality, the remembered achievements should number over fifty (depending on age).

Conclusion

Each achievement should be marked in some tangible way so that we become aware of the things we do to raise our lives. The celevation is a way to remind ourselves that purposeful and substantial living occurs in our lives daily, and this awareness should push us towards being more loving and accepting of ourselves and of others.

Thankfulness with Trenta

Thankfulness

Trenta is the large sized drink at Starbucks. Why is it used here? Because largeness is what we want when we’re being thankful. Largeness in feeling and largeness in expression!

Here are ways to add large sized thankfulness into your life:

  • Add an Appreciation ritual to your eating. Consider all the people who contributed to your meal, from the people who worked in the fields harvesting the vegetables to the people who worked in the store or restaurant packaging the food or working the cash register. If your meal includes meat or dairy, consider the animals who gave their lives or milk for your nourishment.
  • Add Appreciation of Abode into your weekly or daily schedule. This ritual can include going from room to room expressing thankfulness for the people who use these rooms or for the rooms themselves. This ritual can include looking at your home/apartment/tent from the outside and expressing thankfulness for the whole structure.
  • Add “How wondrous is the sky” thankfulness to your daily routine. The first time you go outside, even if it’s just to quickly walk to your car, look at the sky and express thankfulness for it. Even if it’s raining or too hot.

Many more rituals can be added to your thankfulness quest:

  • Considering the majesty of your body each time you go to the bathroom is one way.
  • A daily Rising and/or Retiring ritual to start and end your day with thankfulness is balancing.
  • Every time you choose a decorative item for your home (like a rug or a vase) or for your body (like an article of clothing or shoes), quietly give thanks that you have the ability to choose.
  • On each birthday, consider the previous year and give thanks for all that happened in it—even the less good things. Then give thanks in advance for the coming year.

There are so, so many ways to add trenta thankfulness into your life. Remember: the larger, the more effective!
