School is starting, time to sit still–or is it?

Post 80-Attention

School is starting again and many families will be urged, or will insist on, using drugs to help their children sit still in class. The problem is not the children; the problem is the framework.  People have different ways of learning and different interests, and school curricula, in general, ignore these facts. Here is a blog post from last year that discusses the problems with forcing people to sit still.

———————————————

From “Attention deficits are societal deficits” dated Feb. 4, 2014:

So many interventions are being forced on people these days for attention deficit issues. Symptoms are being treated, but not the causes. The next few posts on my blog will deal with the causes of attention deficit. If you find this outlook interesting, please forward the posts to other like-minded people.

We’ll start with a quote from Oneself—Living:

“Modern living requires focus on activities that can be dull, rote, repetitive, and constraining. Modern schools, work places, institutions, and organizations require participation in dull, rote, repetitive, and constraining tasks and situations. People were designed for tasks and situations that are ever-changing. Tasks that demand constant focus and lengthy concentration tax the natural nature of humans. Distractions, tempest, whirl, and hurly-burly—those are the situations people respond to…

People—are—designed—for—doing some of this, doing some of that, moving here, then moving there, short bouts of focus, studied execution of required tasks and chosen pursuits—and then sleep to recharge, repair, and function. People cannot hear and digest information delivered perfunctorily nor handle verbal assault nor accept displays of unimaginative and unmeant praise nor decipher dull and sterilized writing nor participate in uninspired presentations nor stay still for too long nor perform religious requirements without proper guidance and inspiration. Doing these things result in attention distraction, anger or enhanced criticism, dulled emotions and responses, and opposition against more than the cause of the opposition…

The creation of societies that reward unnatural behaviors and occupations and punish normal human behavior punish themselves. People force and repress and mold themselves to function within the constraints of the modern societies. They think they are superior when they manage to overcome their natural inclinations for movement and physical expression. People do manage to adjust to their polygonal existences, but their bodies and spirits bear the brunt of the altered requirements…

Assuming that a person has a deficit because he or she cannot stay still or cannot focus on a dull and uninspiring topic reflects badly on society. There are people born with deficits or who acquire deficits through accident or illness, but perceived deficits of people who are unable to force themselves to live within uncompromising regulations are not deficits—they are expressions of frustration or unreleased energy or laziness or despair.”

Shout out the wonder!

shout

“Spiritual Presence opens my mouth
to share the wisdom
to speak when I feel unable
and to shout out the wonder.”

-from the poem “Unfolding Information” in Unfolding

Shouting out the wonder is not easy when you have been raised to stay quiet, be polite, and keep your opinions to yourself. Learning to speak out when speaking out is required is not an easy thing to do. There are many stories about reluctant leaders who feel ill-equipped to take on the roles they have been tasked to do. Some step up and become great; some refuse and suffer for their silence.

Three years ago, I received the gift of communication with Spiritual Presence. The gift evolved from personal assistance for just me to assistance for everyone through me. I have learned to share the wisdom through writing this blog and the Energy Guidance Complete books. I have looked my disbelieving, skeptical friends and family in the face and said that I have complete faith in the existence of Spiritual Presence. I now run a “Getting to Know Your Soul” workshop and teach the wisdom about the soul. I have moved from mumbling about the work I do to forthrightly stating that I am a spiritual healer and channeler.

The hard part for me is the shouting, the shouting out the wonder, the wonder of being able to know so much truth and wisdom and to share it so that people will listen, really listen. The shouting is hard. My connection with Spiritual Presence is natural and understated so that the wisdom comes through me naturally and quietly. But people need the roar and the thunder! People need to realize the amazingness of this connection! So I’m working on the shout.

Beyond the Reflection—Masks of Physical Beauty

Physical beauty

Physical beauty.
Physical beauty has advantages. The physically beautiful receive attention, better treatment, and proposals. Beauty attracts admirers, opportunities, and jealousy. Beauty offers shortcuts and overlooked faults. Beauty even hides inner turmoil and inner conceit.

Inner beauty.
Inner beauty has advantages. Beautiful inside means embracing talents, humility, and differentness. Beautiful inside is knowing when to step in and when to step back. Inner beauty bestows kindness and awareness.

Inner beauty affects outer appearance through facial expressions and through spoken awareness of others. Inner beauty does not improve looks nor alter unwanted body construction.

Inner beauty can influence physical appearance by affecting the way others see the person. There is an intangible quality that surrounds inner beauty which is received by those who can feel it. To feel the loveliness of inner beauty observers look beyond features and they sense support.

Physical beauty is an outer feature. It is affected by genetics, current fashions, and body care. Physical beauty acts as a mask when inside lies self-absorption, conceit, and indifference. Physical beauty acts as a mask when inside lies self-doubt, impatience, and fear. Physical beauty acts as a mask for inner beauty as well.

Seeing beyond the reflection in the mirror requires desire to see beyond the apparent, to see beyond the masks.

She Returns Her Anticipation—the Secret to Youthful Aging

Anticipation

There is a video circulating on the Internet of a 90-year-old woman who dances with several men. The video isn’t amazing because the woman is doing extraordinary gymnastic moves while she dances. It’s amazing because she is moving without signs of aging, with suppleness and with youthfulness. Her joy in moving is apparent and her enjoyment of the dance is catching.

After watching that video, I immediately got up and danced. No dance partners magically appeared, but I danced with a smile and I danced with lightness in my steps.

After I danced, I paused and considered the older people I know. None of them display the agility of the woman in the video. They seem more stuck in the accumulation of their years.

My curiosity led me to consult with Spiritual Presence, and so I asked “What is the secret to her joy?” “What keeps her youthful?” Through my asking technique, I worked out this answer:  “She returns her anticipation.”  What does that mean?  The answer is the subject of this blog post. Now I’m going to work out the meaning.

She returns her anticipation

This woman has not lived a life that was trouble-free or worriless. On the contrary, her life was filled with hardship and struggles. Three things she did throughout her life were to keep moving, keep smiling, and keep anticipating.

She anticipated the next day and the day after. She anticipated forbearance and she anticipated solutions. Her anticipation kept her open and curious. Her anticipation kept her spirits up and her worries down. Even today, as she ages and wrinkles, this woman grasps the possibilities that each day brings. Her anticipation of life ignites those around her and her infectious nature is returned to her by those who reflect it back at her.

The secret to youthful aging

And so, for all who are searching for the key to youthful aging, the secret is not in plastic surgery or special creams or anti-aging treatments. The secret to youthful aging is to return the anticipation. Anticipation of life adds twinkling to the eyes and lightness to the steps!

Relating to Leaders, Post #2: Leadership in everyday life

Leadership 2

People are capable of leadership each and every day. Not just elected leaders, company leaders, or leaders of institutions. Leadership opportunities present themselves to everyone; people must choose to snatch these opportunities.

Even the most insignificant job has leadership potential if the job performer realizes this is so. By performing one’s job with gusto, one chooses to be available for opportunities to excel and to affect. By performing one’s job with so-what and who-cares, one chooses to close off from opportunities to receive more.

In the life of an apathetic person, leadership opportunities are squandered. In the life of an insistent person, leadership opportunities can be actualized. Each person chooses to be a leader when he or she is willing to take a stand, take a shot at, take action. Small opportunities perhaps, but possibilities for innumerable repercussions. Once an action has been taken, especially if the action is uplifting, it causes vibrations that affect others.

Leadership opportunities are available to all equally. Yes, equally. One simply has to notice and perform.

(repeated from the post dated 12-17-13)

Relating to Leaders, Post #1

Leadership 1

With debates and fundraising in the U.S. inspiring judgmental commentary on social media, leadership and responses to leaders are going to be the topics in a series of blog posts.

Let’s start with a quote from The Gift of Intuitive, Dedicated Comfort:

“In order to develop and maintain a healthy society, individual members must strive for balance. They must hold themselves accountable and must hold their society accountable. They must not expect more from their leaders than they do from themselves. THEY MUST NOT EXPECT MORE FROM THEIR LEADERS THAN THEY DO FROM THEMSELVES. Leaders are simply a reflection of the society they lead, no better, no worse. However, leaders must strive to balance themselves, especially when they are tempted by the benefits that come from being leaders.”

(color, underline, and bold added for emphasis)

Leaders live like other people, with difficulties and accomplishments, just like other people They are not superhuman and they are not above other people. They make mistakes and they change their minds, just like everyone else.

Leaders are people who “…pursue public roles when they are motivated by internal desire and strength, communal support, admired role models, peer pressure, or acquisition of power.”

Leaders take on leadership roles for many reasons, and each leader is an individual with individual motivation and individual goals. The people who choose to dedicate their lives to public service are placing themselves in positions of power and ridicule, privilege and expectation of purer behavior. Each leader must be evaluated on his or her own merits and must live according to societal rules and mores.

Judgmental attitudes towards leaders is harmful to the people who deliver the cruel and deriding commentary. Before judging leaders, a person must judge himself or herself to see if he or she holds to the standards expected of the leaders. If not, then judgement is the wrong stance. Better to approach leaders with openmindedness and self-worth. Better to approach with curiosity and self-confidence.  Individual members of society must not expect more from their leaders than they do from themselves.

Summer Relaxation

“Connection” is published!

Cover-Connection Poetry

I’m happy to announce that Connection—A Collection of Wisdom Poetry has been published on amazon.com: http://amzn.com/1511788259

Here is the definition for Wisdom poetry from the Foreword:

“Poetry is removing the excess words and focusing on the essence.

The poems in this book are wisdom poems from Spiritual Presence. A wisdom poem is a poem that is dictated directly from Spiritual Presence. Each poem shares/provides/shouts a message. Each message can lead to connection and balance.

As you read the poems, consider the messages and partake of their energy and truthfulness.

So much wisdom in so few words!”

The poetry sings our connections: our connections to other people, to animals, to nature, to spirituality, and to ourselves.

Cecil the Lion—Significance of His Death

Cecil the lion

As I read the various news stories about the death of Cecil, the lion from the Zimbabwe National Park, I felt confused about his significance, and so I turn to Spiritual Presence to guide me. Here is what I learn:

The killing of animals is, in general, considered to be fine by most humans. Humans use animals for food, clothing, and decorative items. In addition, animals are used for their healing properties and in testing of drugs and other items used by humans. The animals that are approved for killing differ from country to country and from region to region. For example, in the United States the killing of dogs is a crime in some states. In India, the killing of cows is a crime in some states.

Lions are treasured and feared. When humans fear for their lives, they justify the killing of lions. When the lions are endangered in a region, they are protected by humans—unless a lion is threatening the life of a human.

Cecil the lion lived in a protected area in a country where humans benefit monetarily from the killing of lions. His value to his own lion family was large. His value to hunters was significant for a short time. His value to the people who arranged his killing was significant for the families of these people.

Selective caring for the welfare of animals is a fact. Some people care more about the welfare of certain animals than others. This caring is generally a cultural trait.

The best way to protect animals is to unwant them for status symbols and fashion statements. Unwanting the animals would stop local people from providing their dead carcasses.

Unfortunately, many humans are uninterested in caring for animals in their natural habitats.  Because of this fact, the significance of humane zoos cannot be stressed enough.

If Cecil the lion had been in a humane zoo, he would not have been killed by a hunter. His living conditions would have been stunted, but he would have lived out his life. Living in a natural habitat gave him thirteen years of free, lion living.

Perhaps if humans remembered that they are animals too, they would care better for their brethren.

Someone to Watch Over Me

Connections

Perhaps there are angels that
watch over me.
Perhaps there are twinkly-beings that
light my way.
Perhaps there are helpers that
guide my daily strivings and focus my efforts.

There are, there are, there are.

Someone to watch over me
when despair strikes
when sadness wearies
when the way is unclear
when joy is felt and calling to be shared
when excitement is felt and calling to be shown.

Someone to light my way
when the path is blurred
and the signs are missing.

Someone to guide my daily strivings
so I find my stride
and perform my best
and achieve my goals.

Someone to focus my efforts
so I see the steps
and move with ease
and grow in wisdom.

Perhaps there are angels that watch over me
and twinkly-beings
and helpers too.

Yes! There are!

There are, there are, there are.

Gatherings are opportunities

gatherings

“A wedding. A funeral. A baby naming. Coming of age ceremonies. Important anniversaries. Unimportant occasions. Unimportant? All occasions that bring people together are important. Gathering together forges ties and friendships, support and community. Whether the occasion is happy or sad or tension filled or relaxed, gathering together leads to emotional release, emotional awareness, or emotional expression,…

… Sometimes people don’t gather because of fear of judgment by others or because they fear outbursts or trouble between attendees. Sometimes they don’t gather because they don’t value the gathering or the occasion or the societal norms…

… People are meant to gather. People are meant to intertwine. People are meant to do for one another, support one another, receive from one another. People have the ability to enrich and entertain and inform one another. Gathering and intertwining, supporting and participating, empathizing and sympathizing are natural aspects of humankind…

… Attending an event is not enough. Being there physically is not enough. Mouthing nice words without meaning them is not enough. Criticism is best left at home. Envy, too. But, heartfelt joy can stay! As can supportive thoughts!…”

Gatherings are opportunities for people to connect and forge relationships. Their importance is presented in Pond a Connected Existence:  http://amzn.com/1494793008

Connection of the Four Components of Health

health

“The four components of bodily health are:

  • Physical health
  • Emotional health
  • Intellectual health
  • Spiritual health

Each component is dependent on the other three components to be balanced…The interconnectedness prevents excessive damage to the body through over-exertion or over-excessiveness.

The interconnectedness enables the body to ascend heights—physically (for example, competitors in athletic competitions, workers laboring under tight deadlines, tenders of animals in the wild), emotionally (for example, caregivers of terminally ill people, people who have overcome abuse), intellectually (for example, developers of thought) and spiritually (for example, in meditative focus). The interconnection enables the body to survive depths (for example, captivity, harsh treatment by cruel people, severe weather conditions, internal turmoil caused by internal strife). The components are interconnected by design and intent…

…Fulfilling the requirement of each component to be nourished, secure, and enriched can be achieved when a life is balanced. Balanced in terms of nutritional intake, emotional sustenance, and cerebral stimulation. Spiritual illumination occurs even when the other components are not balanced if the individual or group of individuals is either innately spiritual or is open to spiritual sustenance. The other components require balance at the individual level; spiritual balance can occur at the individual and societal levels. Balance leads to health leads to balance leads to health and so on, circling….

…The four components control responses to illness, serious illness, and suspected illness. Suspected illness is more serious than one would expect because the thoughts ignite protective responses in the physical, emotional, and spiritual components. Serious illness causes protective responses by all four components. These responses inhibit the effects of the illness when the components are functioning properly. When less serious illness strikes, protective responses are initiated at a reduced level…The protective responses match the need when the components of health are balanced. When the components are not balanced, the protective responses are elicited; however, the effect might be lower and might not enable the body to heal itself properly. In general, in modern society most people’s bodies are not balanced and therefore, the reliance on modern medicine is required…

…Changing reality affects the components of health. War, displacement, societal upheaval, familial upheaval, accidents that result in maiming or impaired mental functioning, and natural disasters—these events drastically affect health.  Some people survive these events with perception and sense of self intact; most people do not. The normal responses to difficult events are grief, blame, withdrawal, or incapacitation. To survive unscathed is unusual; to be weak, unpredictable, suspicious, fearful, hurt, sad, cautious, blameful, indecisive, or angry is expected. Minor changes to reality can be unsettling and can cause many of the same reactions. Few people are unaffected by the ebbs of life. One can survive the ebbs more successfully through spiritual and elevated pursuits…

…Knowing what to do to keep healthy is basic required knowledge. Knowing what to eat or how much to drink to stay hydrated are the most obvious keys to good health. Understanding the need and frequency of sleep is required as well. Health is not the villain to be battled or feared; health is the means to meaningful living and ultimate satisfaction with one’s life. Health—physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual.”

Luck! What luck?

luck

Attitude. Timing. Cause and effect. These determiners are the cast that perform and deliver the production known as luck. Luck does not exist. Luck is used to explain good or bad fortune, to ward off the evil eye or other such spirits, to water down achievement. Rather than attribute life happenings to the true causes, people often attribute them to luck. As if it’s not in our hands. True, things happen that are not in our hands. Natural disasters are not in our hands. The behavior of the environment, of animals, of the weather, of fire, are often beyond our control. Then timing comes to the fore. Being where the disaster occurs, not being where the disaster occurs—timing matters.

Attributing life events to good and bad luck prevents people from being responsible for the good and bad and good-bad things that happen to them. As if their actions weren’t the cause; as if their attitudes weren’t affecting the outcome; as if the results were miraculously delivered. As if taking responsibility and saying I caused this thing to happen, or I am what I am because of all I did, is wrong or is conceited or is honest and factual.

When something bad happens to a person, it is easier to say “I have bad luck” than to say “I wasn’t prepared” or “I was responsible”. Much easier to be happened to than to be happened because of. Much easier to let go of the resulting havoc than to accept personal involvement. Much easier to assign to something outside, something amorphous, than to acknowledge, admit, embrace one’s own involvement in the lackluster performance, mistake, or mess. Luck is the recipient of ownership when the real owner is unable, too modest, or too embarrassed to claim title…

…The importance of preparation cannot be overemphasized. Without it, opportunities are squandered, missed, lost. Being prepared enables seizing the moment, living the dream, catching the wind. Being prepared prepares for minor emergencies, gifted opportunities, necessary procedures and activities, and surprise happenings—good and bad. Being prepared strengthens and calms, emboldens and activates, saves time and saves nerves. Being prepared facilitates quick thinking and thoughtful reflection. Being prepared facilitates successful performance and quick getaway. The right thing when needed…

… Attitude that is constricted, unsatisfied, or cranky leads to perfunctory performance and lackluster end results. Attitude that is accepting, supportive, and encouraging propels performance, investment in delivery, and satisfaction with end results—even if the end results were are not spectacular…

… Attitude. Timing. Cause and effect. Each in its influence creates our reality. Each in its force determines our behavior during times of calm or action or destruction. Each in its subtle way helps to mold and construct our lives, our development, our legacies…

The World Uprooted—Applause Confusion

Post 13-screen beans supportingIn a world where applause is for beauty and celebrity is for ball kicking, uprootedness is occurring.

Applause should be for those who care for the animals and for the vegetation and for the vulnerable. Applause with enthusiasm should be for the people who deliver babies or deliver sustenance from family farms or deliver animals from cruel existence or deliver protection of nature from fires and floods.

Applause for people who strut down runways is applause confused. Applause for people who run after dementia-afflicted people is applause correct.

Applause for professional ball kickers or ball throwers is applause undeserved. Applause for professional arborists working in difficult climates is applause deserved.

Celebrity worship and star fixation are turning the world upside down. The stars become unreal—and suffer because of that—and the fixated lose focus of true values.

Each person who gives more value to an undeserving individual because of sports prowess or body size is contributing to the upside-down existence. Each person can help right the world by focusing on those who bring betterment. Each person can help right the world by allotting time to endeavors that correct misguided infatuations.

Let the celebrities and the sports stars and the models move back, and let the real applause-deservers shine!

Participating Meaningfully

Post 22-meetrings

When we take part in uplifting community efforts, we become uplifted, we fulfill natural desire to be part of, and we are helping our bodies be well.

“Gathering together forges ties and friendships, support and community. Whether the occasion is happy or sad or tension filled or relaxed, gathering together leads to emotional release, emotional awareness, or emotional expression, even if the emotions are repressed or explosive. The importance of gathering in small groups or in larger arrangements is often overlooked.” from Pond a Connected Existence.

Gathering together, whether in a large or small group, is a natural way for people to live. Celebrations or school meetings, religious services or community clean-ups, all bring people together and all uplift. Gathering together for purposes that are degrading or destructive not only cause imbalances in the participants, but also cause a group sense of despair—even if the participants think that they enjoyed themselves.

The key for a gathering to create positive repercussions is that the gathering be a setting for appreciation and giving.

Anniversary thoughts

Hearts-anniversary

In honor of my husband’s and my anniversary, I’m posting thoughts about couples from various Energy Guidance Complete books.

From The Gift of Intuitive, Dedicated Comfort:

Finding a partner who generally fills expectations is worthy of investment.

From Pond a Connected Existence:

Finding a way to be together without creating chaos. That is the goal in partnership. Finding a way to survive, to support, and to care. Living as designed—with and not without, together and not alone, next to and not far from.

From Oneself—Living:

Love is labyrinthian, multifaceted, and demanding—demanding in attention, demanding in compassion. Demanding in a good way, that is, love requires consideration of a person’s essence and foibles. … Multi-faceted refers to the various moods of love—desire, yearning, simmer, and satisfaction. Labyrinthian because love can be hard to negotiate, discover, and unravel.

From Vitality!:

You should speak compassionately…

From Awaiting Light:

Togetherness is vital for normal human development.

From Unfolding:

The union of two individuals
Union of differences
Distinct preferences
Attractions separate
Yet joined.

Two
Too
Together

The union of two individuals
Direction for life chosen
Focus on similar aim
Movement coordinated
Yet individual.

Two
Too
Together

The union of two individuals
The merging of separate souls
The rhythm of mankind retained.

Here’s to togetherness!

From generation to generation

family gathering photo

The passing of customs and traditions is what people do. The customs and traditions guide younger people in living that has been tested. The testing is done in each generation within the boundaries of the existing ways of being. By design, people are meant to learn from the ones who lived before. Each generation of parents and elders is needed to transmit information and teach dependable practices and reliable skills.

Relinquishing the responsibility to teach the younger generation is faulty. The younger generation cannot understand society and behavior without careful guidance. The guidance of elders provides stability and security.

When society is skewed in its actions and treatment of the environment, of animals, and of people, the passing of customs and traditions that are causing the skewed behavior require the questioning of the younger generation to bring change. In these cases, the younger generation influences the fixed behavior through insistent inquiry and debate. Change can develop when all the generations learn from one another in the generational way.

Here’s an interesting look at habits from the upcoming book of poetry titled “Connection”. This book will be published this summer.

Poem-habits

Wearing invasive items

invasive items

Technology has enabled us to continuously harm ourselves by creating wearable invasive gadgets. Smartphones that are constantly in our hands and next to our ears, in our pockets near sensitive organs, and even in bras and undergarments. Smart watches that are constantly attached, near our bones and our pulse points. Smart glasses that sit near our brains! And more wearable invasive items are in development.

These gadgets are seemingly helpful to us. In reality, they harm us in ways that are yet unknown. The harm depends on how long the invasive items are next to us and on our ability to battle the effects.

The strategy for minimizing the damage is to keep the “smart” items as far away from our bodies as possible. The easiest way is to not buy the wearable items. As for smartphones, keeping them in away-from-the-body containers is best. Pockets are too close, much too close. As is holding them all the time.

Using technology is fine when we use it wisely. Using technology wisely is the challenge.

Celebrating achievements, even when seemingly minor

celebration(taken from my article of the same name on Healing.Answers.com  )

People tend to celebrate events that are milestones defined by society: birth, coming-of-age, marriage, specific birthdays and anniversaries, graduation, promotions, etc. These events are deserved of celebration, and are not the subject of this blog post.

Achievements such as finishing a small project, reaching a minor goal, learning a new skill, performing a feared task, relinquishing an old hurt, connecting in a spiritual way, changing a career, weeding the garden and not using poison to kill the weeds, resisting ease for quality, resisting the appeal of time wasters, and reviving a meaningful relationship should be noted and cele-vated (celebrate + elevate). Raised up to deserve celebration. Celebrated because we have elevated ourselves.

Let’s look at examples of achievements that should be celevated and possible celebrations.

Performing a feared task is an achievement that should be celevated

When we carry fears from real or imagined reasoning, the fears constrict us. When we decide to release a fear, our mind must release the thoughts that had been occupied with the fear. The celebration for performing a feared task?

  1. Acknowledge that the feared task was performed by either saying so out loud or by writing it.
  2. Hold your hands together and say “I did it!” or something similar. While you do that, smile and feel the achievement.
  3. Do one or more movements, like a little victory dance, which will release any bodily tension that arose from performing the task.
Reviving a meaningful relationship is an achievement that should be celevated

Often, time passes without us realizing that we didn’t make time for someone whom we once cherished. When we decide to revive a meaningful relationship, our minds must release any guilt that existed from feelings of non-trueness to this person. The celebration for reviving a meaningful relationship?

  1. After initial contact has been made (through writing or speaking), acknowledge that you are proud of yourself for taking the steps to renew this friendship and breathe deeply for a minute or two.
  2. After additional contact, hold your hands together and say “I did it!” or something similar. While you do that, smile and feel the achievement.
Resisting ease for quality is an achievement that should be celevated

There are many examples of resisting ease for quality. Making a pizza from scratch rather than buying a pizza from the pizza delivery service is one example. Eating a meal on dishes rather than using disposables is another example. Even though this achievement can be a daily or even hourly event, it should be elevated and celebrated!

  1. Reminding ourselves that our “sacrifices” bring rewards is the first step towards celevation.
  2. A general celebration could be patting ourselves on the back (literally) after the achievement has been completed. Specific celebrations for specific achievements can simply be finding ways to savor the moments spent in quality living.
In Energy Guidance Complete sessions

During Energy Guidance Complete sessions, I sometimes ask people to consider their large and small achievements. People tend to overlook their achievements, and they usually have trouble remembering more than ten. In actuality, the remembered achievements should number over fifty (depending on age).

Conclusion

Each achievement should be marked in some tangible way so that we become aware of the things we do to raise our lives. The celevation is a way to remind ourselves that purposeful and substantial living occurs in our lives daily, and this awareness should push us towards being more loving and accepting of ourselves and of others.
